The Panafrican Group, which has operations in East and West Africa, has partnered with Canada’s College of the Rockies (COTR) to create a learning programme for technicians

According to the company, the COTR and Panafrican will create the Prior Learning Recognition Program that will award Panafrican Group’s technicians the Canadian certification equivalent to the industry standards set in the Canadian Red Seal.

“All our technicians will work under the same set of excellence standards, resulting in improved customer service,” said the company.

With operations in seven countries across East and West Africa, Panafrican Group provides equiment such as Komatsu, Wirtgen and AGCO. In addition, the company also deliveres aftersales support solutions in the markets it operates in. With operator training made available with delivery of each machine, the company is working towards the delivery of fit-for-purpose, tailored solutions that will ensure higher productivity and performance.

Through the COTR certification programme, short- and long-term courses will be provided. Short-term courses are designed to deliver on-site solutions to tackle specific problem areas, whereas long-term programmes enhance an employee’s critical thinking capabilities and systematic diagnostic skills.

The programme will go a long way in setting high industry standards within the Panafrican Group, added the company.
