Ericsson aims to unlock West African digital transformation potential

Ericsson, a networking and telecommunications company that enables communications services providers and enterprises to capture the full value of connectivity, has sought to build on its footprint in Africa with a new senior appointment

Majda Lahlou Kassi, who has garnered nearly 25 years’ worth of experience at the company, has been named as the new vice-president and head of Ericsson West Africa and Morocco. Effective 1 January 2024, Kassi will reportedly play a leading role in driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of the company within the region. In addition, she has been tasked with supporting Ericsson’s customers with the latest technologies to advance the connectivity in West Africa. 

To do so, she will draw from her extensive experience at the company which has included roles in technology, sales, strategy, operations and customer project delivery, providing her with an extensive knowledge regarding telecoms and information technology. 

Moreover, Kassi boasts a useful understanding of the region to which she will be serving having worked as the head of networks solutions and leading a team across 13 countries in West Africa and Morocco. 

“I am excited to take on this new role, collaborating closely with our partners and customers to unlock the vast potential of digital transformation in West Africa,” remarked KAssi. “My focus is to support our customers, enabling their success while leveraging on our technology and services to drive Ericsson's growth in the region."
