Two international trade shows planned for 1st quarter of 2012

Since putting its Libya trade show programme on hold in February this year, Montgomery Worldwide subsidiary Montgomery Libya Ltd (MLL) has monitored developments in Libya closely and is now planning to re-enter the market with two international trade shows and conferences: ReBuild Libya 2012 and Oil & Gas Libya 2012, with tentative dates in the first quarter of 2012.

MLL is already in discussion with the appropriate Ministries of the Libyan National Transitional Council (LNTC) seeking their support and patronage for these two events and others in their planned pipeline.

ReBuild Libya 2012 - the International Exhibition and Conference for Libya’s Reconstruction Programme and Oil & Gas Libya 2012 - the International Exhibition and Conference for the Regeneration of Libya’s Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals Sector are set to take place concurrently at Tripoli’s international fairground and follow the MLL exhibition programme which has addressed Libya’s infrastructure and oil and gas sectors each year since 2006.

Conferences are planned to run in parallel with the exhibitions and will offer the LNTC the opportunity of laying out its investment and management plans for the country’s reconstruction and future development as well as bringing professionals from around the world to share their views and experience on infrastructure and energy sector matters.

The aim of the trade exhibitions is to bring to the market much needed expertise and technology across a broad range of sectors from the international export community, to meet the LNTC’s priorities in rebuilding Libya's infrastructure and energy sectors which have been neglected in recent years and which further suffered during the conflict.

The trade exhibitions will provide a showcase of equipment and technology covering, in the infrastructure sector: building & construction, public works & municipal engineering, power & electricity, transport & communications, water & environment, safety & security; and in the energy sector: exploration, production, pipelines, refining and petrochemicals, HSE, and training.

Exhibitors will be international producers and suppliers of equipment, materials, products, technology, consultancy services, management capability and financial expertise appropriate for Libya’s reconstruction and future development plans. They will be drawn from Europe, North America and Asia through a comprehensive exhibitor promotion programme aimed at foreign governments, government export agencies, trade associations and industry. Libyan companies, both manufacturers and import agencies, will also be encouraged to exhibit.
