Sulzer’s power generation innovations at PowerGen Africa

Sulzer, one of the leading repair specialists and pump manufacturer solutions, will be showcasing power generation solution at PowerGen Africa from 14-16 May 2019 at the Cape Town International Convention Center (CTICC)

Visitors will discover Sulzer’s comprehensive range of products and services to the power generation sector using touchscreen displays on stand E8.

Using an interactive power landscape, the company aims to explore applications that can be optimised, repaired and remanufactured.

Sulzer is a turnkey service provider for pumps and rotating equipment. Its parts manufacturing centres and the global network of service centres aim to provide high-quality components.

Supporting the F-class gas turbine market, including the GE, Siemens and Alstom fleets, Sulzer has experienced personnel dedicated to the support of these vital assets. This includes the in-house manufacture of turbine and compressor blades to the highest specification as well as additive manufacturing for reverse-engineered, precision parts.

For generators, motors, pumps and other rotating equipment, Sulzer’s field service teams provide local, expert maintenance, rewinds, retrofits and pump services for existing assets.

With almost 100 purpose-built facilities throughout the world, including Johannesburg, every service centre has access to state-of-the-art facilities including precision coil manufacturing and high-speed balancing resources.

In addition, Sulzer has a comprehensive range of pumps, specifically designed to handle the challenges of the power generation and water sectors. Often purpose-built and always optimised for efficiency, Sulzer’s knowledge and expertise in pump manufacturing can be used to retrofit existing assets and enhance performance.

During the trade show, Sulzer is offering phone charging points to visitors throughout the event.

This year, PowerGen Africa is co-located with African Utility Week and being hosted by Cape Town, South Africa, where leading authorities in the world of power generation and water will meet for a series of conferences and exhibitions.
