Genie has introduced its latest TraX system, aimed at simplifying maintenance while maintaining high performance standards

The system is now available as a factory-installed option on four popular boom lifts, offering enhanced flexibility for various job site requirements.

INTERMAT is due to take place from 24-27 April this year in Paris-Nord.

The redesigned TraX system boasts four independent tracks, ensuring smooth operation on rough terrain. With oscillating axles and the ability to swivel up and down by 22°, the tracks can navigate obstacles in extreme conditions.

Available in two sizes, the system features 50% fewer serviceable parts than other track systems, streamlining inspections and reducing parts inventory requirements.

Moreover, the TraX system offers the flexibility to swap tracks for tires, enhancing resale options. Genie also plans to launch aftermarket upgrade kits for certain boom lift models, allowing conversion from wheels to TraX.

Genie TraX systems offer an average of 72% less contact pressure compared to standard tire options, thanks to their broader weight distribution. This feature may provide more options for operating TraX boom lifts on sensitive surfaces or in challenging conditions without additional support.

“Customers in telecommunications, oil and gas industries, quarries, tree care, and construction have been using TraX-equipped boom lifts for more than 15 years in all seasons and terrains — from rocky slopes to sand and gravel pits, in snow and ice,” said Sean Larin, global product director, Booms. “Redesigned TraX-equipped boom lifts have been rigorously tested in these environments and exceeded Genie’s high standard for durability and reliability,” he said.
