Bobcat has launched a new range of hydraulic hoistand extension jib attachments for the company’s telehandler range. There are two types of attachment available – hydraulic hoistsrated to 3.5 or 4.0 tonne and 600 and 1,000 kg hydraulic hoists, each combined with a 4 m jib, all meeting the latest ISO 430 1 – 1 classification T4, L2, M4.
Designed for applications in construction, general industry and maintenance, the use of the hoist or hoist/extension jib attachments enables a telescopic handler to perform the functions of a crane, but with all the advantages of site mobility and versatility typically provided by the telehandler. Using the hoist and jib attachments, the telehandler can be used to position loads in places which are difficult to access conventionally using the boom on the telehandler alone. The hoists are indispensable for raising and lowering loads without having to move the boom, and are fitted with a proportional control system for precise positioning of the load.
The hydraulic hoists have a drop length of 24 m (utilising a total length of cable of 51 m) with a cable diameter of 12 mm. The cable can be let out at a maximum speed of 21.5m/min.Proper winding is ensured by a cable-pressing roller, the small rake angle with guide pulley, and a threaded drum (complying to EN-14492-2). The extra wide block prevents lines from twisting and wearing.
The hoists are available as both factory- and dealer-installed options. The hydraulic components of the hoistare protected by a cage. They are also equipped with a positive descent/ascent function. In the event of a hydraulic failure, a brake will engage to prevent the load from dropping.
A removable stand is supplied to support the hoist, keeping it clean when in storage. For easy handling and carrying, the stand is equipped with pallet fork slots.
