An announcement made at the World Satellite Business Conference revealed that Spacecom, operator of the AMOS satellite fleet, has been awarded 2011 best regional satellite operator
The company provides broadcast and communication services to Europe, the Middle East, the US Coast and Africa via direct-to-home (DTH) and direct broadcast satellite (DBS) operators, Internet service providers (ISPs), telecom operators, network integrators and government agencies.
David Pollack, president and CEO of Spacecom, said, “We have established the AMOS brand in Europe and the Middle East, have brought AMOS to Africa with the AMOS-5, and soon to Asia and Russia with the impending 2013 launch of the AMOS-4.
“I am proud of our team's efforts and those of our industry partners that led to this award and promise that we will not rest with this award,” he added.
Spacecom recently announced the upcoming launch of its AMOS-6 communication satellite in 2015 to the 4ºW AMOS 'Hot-Spot', to supply broadcast and communication services to Central and East Europe as well as bringing services to West Europe.
