The European Outsourcing Association (EOA) has named Morocco and MEDZ Sourcing as its ‘Offshoring Destination of the Year’
Presented at EOA’s 2012 awards in London, the honour recognised Morocco and MEDZ Sourcing, which operates a number of business parks in the Kingdom, as providing an attractive platform for business, information and communications technology services to European organisations.
The EOA’s judges cited the North African country’s cost competitiveness after reading testimonials on the benefits of doing business in Morocco by a host of large European companies that included Dell, Deloitte and HP.
MEDZ Sourcing director general Abderrafie Hanouf said, “Being chosen as EOA’s Offshoring Destination of the Year is a great testament to the daily contributions of the 55,000 women and men working in Morocco’s world-class outsourcing centres.
“This is a great honour,” he added. “Receiving their award validates our value proposition, which is to offer world class infrastructure, stable, competitive costs, and well-trained human resources, in combination with Morocco’s geographic, cultural and linguistic proximity to Europe.”
Morocco was shortlisted for the award alongside Egypt, South Africa, Romania, Serbia and Slovakia for the award.
