Fleet service for Algeria’s East-West Expressway

Earlier this year, a fleet of 53 Dynapac compaction rollers and pavers was purpose ordered by the CITIC Group and China Railway Corporation (CRCC) consortium (CITIC-CRCC), to build the central and western sections of the 1,216km Algerian East-West Expressway.

p>Earlier this year, a fleet of 53 Dynapac compaction rollers and pavers was purpose ordered by the CITIC Group and China Railway Corporation (CRCC) consortium (CITIC-CRCC), to build the central and western sections of the 1,216km Algerian East-West Expressway.

On winning contracts for the central and western sections of Algeria’s 1,216km East- West Expressway, CITIC-CRCC turned to Dynapac to provide a fleet of 53 tandem rollers and track pavers. CITIC-CRCC were awarded the contract for the central and western sections of highway (169km and 359km respectively) at a cost of $451mn.

The Dynapac fleet is being used to pave and compact the base course, binder course and wearing course; almost the complete process of work. Popular pavers and compaction rollers The F141C is the most popular Dynapac paver in its class. Equipped with long track drives and a 140kW Deutz diesel engine, the paver is ideal for the Algerian project. Featuring a 6m3 hopper capacity, the F141C has a working width of 9m with extension boxes and is able to place up to 750t/h.

The single F182CS is an asphalt paver for working widths of up to 13.50m including extension boxes and boasts a brief capacity of 7.80m3. Dynapac’s CC624HF double drum vibrating rollers feature a drum width of 2,130mm and boast a 12,200kg operating mass. The model also offers a 166kN centrifugal force at high amplitude and 106kN at low amplitude.
