p>Atlas Copco has opened a fully owned customer center in Mali to support the growing mining business in West Africa and to demonstrate the Group’s commitment to customers in the area.
The new customer center will primarily focus on sales of surface and underground mining equipment, drilling consumables as well as related parts and services. The customer center will initially employ 14 people. It will serve both Mali and other French speaking countries in the region such as Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Senegal and Ivory Coast.
“The new customer center will bring us closer to our customers in these countries,” says Björn Rosengren, Business Area President Atlas Copco Construction and Mining Technique and continues: “There are many interesting projects in the area, particularly in mining, that offer good business opportunities.”
In addition to the new customer center in Mali, a recently established branch in Senegal is focusing on the construction activities for the same region. Atlas Copco was earlier represented in West Africa through a distributor network.
